Hawaiian Time

Woooo hooooo!! I made it in just under the one month mark! Nothing like waiting until the very last second to address the crowds....;)

Not that I really have very much exciting stuff to say. I know, major let-down, right? :) The past month has been one mainly of routine, with Charley in school every day from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Zander in school three mornings a week for three hours, yoga for me on Tuesdays and Thursdays, soccer for Charley on Thursdays, Family Fun Friday nights every (surprise surprise) Friday night, and a whole lot of driving around to reach these various activities. I'm really starting to feel like a full fledged taxi service these days. Oh, and Brian is working of course.

Charley is still loving school, Zander is loving school, and both kids are relatively happy with their routines. We haven't had as much time lately to do the extra fun stuff, like beaches and hikes and all that, but our "guest era" is about to begin, so I'm know we will be squeezing plenty of all those extras into our normal schedule. We have eaten out a few times, gone to a birthday party or two, went to a luau at the Air Station, toured Foster Botanical Gardens, had some pool time, hung out with friends, yadda yadda yadda.....you know, the usual.

So, as I mentioned, our guests are about to descend. ;) Next week, Brian's uncles Roger and Todd are coming from Seattle for a week, then we have a week off, and then my Aunt Marge and Uncle Mike will be arriving from the Seattle-area as well (can you say GOLF time???) for a week and a half. After their visit, we have about a ten-day break until my Dad arrives from Sacramento for the Thanksgiving holiday, and one day after he leaves, Brian's Dad, Jim, and his wife, Delora, arrive from Michigan for a ten-day visit during the first part of December. We DID just book a little 3-night jaunt to Maui when Brian's dad is here (for all of us), so that should be fun....our last little inter-island adventure before it's time to hit the road. Then, right after they leave, we have about a three-day break until my Mom and Dad arrive for the holidays, and I'm not sure we will ever get rid of them. ;) No, just kidding....Dad is staying for two weeks, and my Mom will be staying until at least the end of January so that she can watch the kids while Brian and I head to NEW ZEALAND!!! Starting New Years Eve, we will be spending 18 days touring the North and South Islands, and we can't wait!!! Whew, I'm tired just talking about all that stuff.....;)

So that's our major happenings.....school, guests, holidays, trips, and then time to start thinking about our move to Rhode Island. I guess there is no shortage of stuff happening around here. But does the fun really ever end? :)
