Continuing the Tour

More touring kept us very busy this weekend. On Friday morning, Brian and Charley drove Bev and Dick to Hanauma bay for some of the best snorkeling on the island. They were very impressed with the beautiful reef and the various types of fish that hang out there, as well as the nice beach and views. Meanwhile, Zander and I took a jaunt up to the Army base to have lunch with Heather and then we all met up back at the house a bit later. Brian had to head into work that afternoon to stand duty, so the rest of us relaxed at home for awhile. Here is Charley being a bit silly and trying on Papa Dick's reading glasses.

Later that evening we headed over to the Air Station so that Brian could give our guests the grand tour of the facility and the aircraft. Our visit was cut a little bit short when Charley had a massive potty accident in the T.V. lounge area right in front of Brian's co-worker. Oops.

On Saturday morning, I decided to let Zander feed himself. Good job kid.

After Brian got home from work Saturday morning, we all went out to breakfast and then hit our favorite local park so that the kids could burn off some energy. I think all us adults ended up more exhausted than the kids from chasing them around. In the afternoon, Brian mowed the lawn, while Bev and Dick headed for downtown to enjoy a condo that they rented for a few nights near Waikiki Beach.

This morning, after watching a little playoff football action (which starts at 8:00 a.m. here . . . woo hoo), we headed for Waikiki Beach and spent the day with Bev and Dick at the Hale Koa (military hotel) pool. Here is Zan Man enjoying a little pineapple.

After the pool, we checked out Bev and Dick's condo, and then headed down to the Cheesecake Factory for some yummy food and dessert. All in all, we had a pretty fun day and the kids behaved quite nicely. It was awesome to spend a day relaxing at the pool instead of doing something related to the yard, like we've been doing the past couple months. Besides, I need to start working on my tan or else when I go back to Montana next month, no one will believe I live in Hawaii. :)
