A Lesson in the Theology

Today Brian and I were riding in the car with Charley (Zander was at home with Grammy and Papa), and I was telling Brian about a conversation I had with the check-out lady at the grocery store today. She was raving about how smart Zander was because of how much he was talking while we were checking out, and at one point in the conversation I was imitating the woman to Brian, and in doing so said, "Oh my God, he is so smart!" At this point in the conversation, Charley interjected.

Charley: "Mooommmm, we DON'T say that! We don't say 'Oh my God.'"

Danielle: "I'm sorry Charley, you are right, we say 'Oh my gosh.'"

Charley: "Yeah, we say 'Oh my gosh.' Because God lives in the sky. In heaven. God lives in the sky, at the Pole, with Santa."

Danielle: "God lives with Santa at the North Pole?"

Charley: "Yeah, with Santa, at the Pole."

Danielle: (to Brian) "We really need to work on her theology."
